Not true. You can clearly see from Marx and Engles' writings that they were eequally concerned about the liberation from the family and capitalism. See "The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State." They aimed to liberate men from all obligations to the family as well as women. Of course they liberated no one.

In my time here, may I make an observation?

Only one group exhibits prejudice to another section of Americans on a daily basis. Northern liberals have considerable prejudice towards the South, and Southern people. I'm an outsider, this isn't my ballgame, but I can't help to notice that the same group that propels itself as progressive, caring, understanding and open minded are the most intolerant busybodies.
